Jim Hannigan serves as Vice President, Licensing and Merchandising for Richard Petty Motorsports. He joined RPM in May 2011 after 7 ½ years with Petty Enterprises as VP Licensing and Merchandising. Hannigan is also the Owner/President of Toolbox Treasures LLC., a merchandise business started by Hannigan and Roush Fenway for Richard Petty 4 ½ years ago. Recently, Hannigan was appointed to the Board of Directors NASCAR Licensing Trust the centralized voice/decision making body relating to licensing and merchandising in NASCAR.
Prior to his tenure with Petty Enterprises, Hannigan served as VP Sales/Licensing/Merchandising for Roush Racing. In that role, he led the growth of Roush Racing as a new company, including sponsorship acquisitions and development of the licensing and merchandising divisions for Roush.
Prior to Roush Racing, Hannigan served as Director of Motorsports and Event Marketing at Coors Brewing Company for over 13 years. Throughout his tenure at Coors, the company won a NASCAR championship with Coors/ Bill Elliott, NHRA Championship with Tom Mongoose and Darryl Gwynn, and Sprint Car Championship with Coors Light/Steve Kinser. Prior to that, he held merchandising positions with Integer Group, the agency of record for Coors/ Millers, and a Regional Sales position with 3M Electro Products Division after his college graduation.
Hannigan is a graduate of University of Northern Colorado and graduated with a B.S. in Business with a Specialization in Marketing. He is currently a founding member and Board of Directors member of the North Carolina Motorsports Association, as well as founding member and current Board of Directors member of the newly formed Mooresville, NC “Race City USA” Board of Directors for Economic Development. Hannigan resides in Mooresville, NC with his wife Patty and their two daughters Katie and Jenna. When away from motorsports, he enjoys boating and running in which he completed several marathons.
