Richard Petty Motorsports New Hampshire 300 Qualifying Report
One-mile, New Hampshire Motor Speedway
Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) comes into the New Hampshire Motor Speedway still riding their historic win from last Sunday's Coke Zero 400 at the Daytona International Speedway.  With "The King" back at the track and Aric Almirola and Marcos Ambrose back behind the wheel, media and fans continued to buzz about the win.  But it was back to business for the teams with qualifying on tap Friday afternoon.
Aric Almirola and the No. 43 Charter Ford team will try to win again this week from the 19th starting spot on Sunday.  Marcos Ambrose and the No. 9 DEWALT Racing team will try and get their first win of the season from the 21st spot.
Kyle Busch won the pole.
Qualifying Results:
19: Aric Almirola, No. 43 Charter Ford
21: Marcos Ambrose, No. 9 DEWALT Ford
Comments from Aric Almirola after Qualifying at New Hampshire:
"We were just really tight. Handling in the corners is so important here. I felt like we had a pretty good run our first time out. We tried to go again but just couldn't beat the first time. The good news is that we're only off a little bit. If we were just one tenth better, we would have been seventh. We'll focus on improving the handling in the corners during our practice sessions tomorrow, and I think we'll be good for Sunday."
Comments from Marcos Ambrose after Qualifying at New Hampshire:
"It looks like most of the Fords have the same speed right now, in a group.  Aric and I are about the same.  The track is hot, it's slick and we need to turn better.  I think we're all fighting basically the same thing.  We made a few attempts to get better but just weren't good enough to get into the Top-12. It's about where we have been today, but now we can can just concentrate on race trim."
