Richard Petty Motorsports Apache Warrior 400 Qualifying Report
Dover International Speedway
The Dover International Speedway has always been a favorite of Aric Almirola, driver of the No. 43 Smithfield Ford Fusion. Almirola was still recovering from his injured back when the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series visited the track earlier this year. Friday, Almirola was eager to get back on the track where has won before in the Camping World Truck Series.
Almirola felt good in race trim but told the crew the car was loose in its qualifying setup. During qualifying, Almirola proved his expertise at the track and put the RPM Ford in the 14th starting spot.

Comments from Almirola after qualifying at Dover:
“The crew made really good adjustments for qualifying. We made the car faster and that put us in a position where we need to start each week. I really like this track and am looking forward to putting our Smithfield Ford up front on Sunday.”
