A band of service members returning from World war II with spinal cord injuries founded Paralyzed Veterans in 1946. In over 6 decades, this organization has developed a unique expertise on issues affecting service members with special needs. As it has expanded to include 34 chapters, Paralyzed Veterans has remained dedicated to creating an environment in America where veterans and all those with disablities can lead fulfilling, independent, and productive lives. Paralyzed Veterans is a tireless advocate for health care, spinal cord injury research, accessibility and the removal of architectural barriers, sports programs, and disability rights.\r\n\r\nParalyzed Veterans has been a long-standing partner of Richard Petty. “Our partnership …has been great for paralyzed veterans,” said Paralyzed Veterans of America National President Randy L.
